Stephanie Dy joined PLG in 2022 as an immigration attorney. She was admitted to the New York State bar in 2006, and handles employment-based and family-sponsored immigration cases. Prior to joining PLG, Stephanie was part of a small immigration firm in downtown Chicago, owned and operated her own independent law practice, and served as in-house immigration counsel to a professional healthcare provider operating across US. In the latter role as in-house counsel, she collaborated with other lawyers across the country in civil, contract, labor, regulatory, litigation and tax matters. In her earlier career, Stephanie was a litigator in a leading law firm in the Philippines, and a lecturer in business and tax laws at a prominent women’s college in Manila. Throughout her career, Stephanie has focused on obtaining the best outcomes for her clients, and brings this same dedication combined with years of experience to our firm. She is the consultant for immigration matters for a community center located in the heart of Chicago’s Chinatown, where she assists clients from different walks of life with their immigration matters.
Stephanie received her undergraduate and law degrees from the University of the Philippines, and an LLM from the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign. She is a native speaker of Chinese Hokkien and Tagalog, with working fluency in Chinese Mandarin and Cebuano.
In her free time, Stephanie dabbles in music, etegami painting, photography, and a passion for art and architecture.
