Sonia Mann

Associate Attorney

Sonia Mann has worked as both Of Counsel and as an Associate Attorney with Parikh Law Group since 2012. She has over eighteen years of litigation experience. Prior to joining PLG, Sonia attended the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor where she obtained a B.A. in Economics and Finance. She went on to attend law school at Wayne State University Law School in Michigan and graduated in 2005. Soon after graduating, Sonia worked with two of the largest Plaintiffs’ personal injury law firms in downtown Chicago. As a litigator, she specialized her practice to represent clients who were the victims of nursing home negligence, medical malpractice, auto accidents, and wrongful death and cases. Sonia’s passion for advocating for and protecting the rights of individuals who have been injured, abused or neglected has fueled her commitment to obtain favorable outcomes on behalf of her clients and their families. In addition, for the past 7 years Sonia has extended her practice areas to include corporate litigation, handling corporate general matters including contract formation and reviews, real estate and corporate immigration matters. In addition to working with private law firms, Sonia has provided legal consulting to various companies and organizations including the Indo-American Center in Chicago and the Global Organization for People of Indian Origin. She also provides curriculum and educational compliance, program evaluation, and quality improvement advising to medical education and advanced practice healthcare degree programs, independent physician groups and hospital networks including UC Davis Health. She continues to serve as a healthcare education program advisor for various groups including the AAMC, LCME and AANC and assists with accreditation matters at medical and nursing schools located throughout the U.S. and Canada.  

As part of the PLG team, Sonia’s breadth of experience and skills have directly benefited our clients. Her practice emphasizes extensive client consultation, detailed case analysis which includes in-depth reviews of the records and working with various legal and medical experts, filing complaints and handling other court pleadings, court appearances, as well as taking a substantial number of depositions during the litigation process. Sonia strives to obtain fair and equitable settlements for her clients either through working with insurance companies directly, utilizing alternative dispute resolution options, and representing clients in court. She has worked on thousands of cases during her career and has obtained in excess of $14 million in settlements and judgments for her clients and their families. Sonia has written a number of legal articles and her work has been published in various media and digital publications. 

In her free time, Sonia enjoys hot yoga, traveling, and spending time with her family.
